Ulrike Rein the managing partner of Oppenheim said
„Zoltán is a highly regarded member of our competition practice. In the current fast changing market environment, we see a heightened interest in competition law matters from our clients. I am confident that by the election of Zoltán to partner, our competition practice, which is headed by Gábor Fejes, will be able to satisfy this growing demand from our clients.”

In his new position as counsel, Áron joins Oppenheim’s IP/IT practice to head its Trademarks and Designs practice with effect from 1 January 2014.

Áron joined the Budapest office of international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 2002. From 2005, he worked for boutique Hungarian IP law firm, SGBK. Áron’s immediate task is to develop Oppenheim’s Trademarks and Designs practice, and ensure its continued growth. Áron has vast experience representing multinational clients in Hungary. He has also assisted numerous Hungarian clients in creating and implementing their international brand strategies, protecting and managing their IP portfolios and enforcing their intellectual property rights both in and out of court. Áron has provided crucial support to countless designers and authors enabling them to effectively safeguard their valuable works. He has extensive knowledge in domain matters and has supported numerous start-ups in creating brand protection strategies appropriate to their early stage of business development. In recognition of his many talents and the excellent quality of his work, Áron has been praised by leading professional publication, World Trademark Review.

In addition to his many professional talents, Áron is a gifted songwriter and guitarist in the rock band ‘Crescendo’: he is therefore able to utilize the personal experience gained as an author in his daily professional work.

Ulrike Rein, the managing partner of Oppenheim said
„Áron is an ambitious and highly experienced practitioner with whom our Trademarks and Designs practice can achieve dynamic and steady growth in the upcoming period. I strongly believe that very substantial efficiency benefits will accrue to our clients by having their trademark and design matters handled by our firm on a “one-stop-shop” basis along with their other legal work. I am delighted to have him on board and very much look forward to working with him.”
